This Grand Prix pad is extremely lightweight gel pad and can be used directly on the horse's back. The Active Soft Gel Pad has the ability to allow the skin to breathe while maintaining contact with the saddle. Non toxic product that is mashine washable or by simply running under water using a mild soap.
